There are dozens of marketing strategies that you could be using to help you get new customers and keep your existing customers coming back for years. I want to open your eyes to the marketing strategies that your competitors are not using.

Everyone is feeling the pinch and everyone is shopping around, so it is getting increasingly important to call all of your previous and existing customers before they get the chance to shop around.  If you call them to thank them for their previous business and ask them if everything is OK with the products/services you supplied previously they will appreciate it.
 
You should briefly tell them about something new you have going on (make something up if you don't have anything new to offer them) and tell them that, should they want anything in the future, you will go out of your way to make sure they receive the very best service.
 
This will go a long way towards making sure you get a call next time your previous customers want your services and it may also prevent them from ringing round to find a cheaper price.
 
Whilst you are on the call you need to ask for their email address, tell them you have some offers coming up exclusively for existing customers and you wouldn't want them to miss out.
 
Also, you should ask them for a referral, tell them that recommendations are an important part of your marketing and that you would really appreciate it if they could recommend you to a few people, then ask "Could you give me the names of a couple of people who you think may benefit from my product/services". If you leave it for them to tell people about you it may not happen, if you can, try to get a name and number whilst you are on the call.
